Govt Arts and Science College Balussery a much awaited Higher Education Institution in Balussery LAC was established in November 2013 as a result of massive and constant demands from the people for decades and by the sincere efforts of Sri Purushan Kadalundy MLA. The college is affiliated to University of Calicut and offers UG Courses in Mathematics, Commerce and Development Economics. The stength of students is about 360 and 27 employees are currently working in the college. The college still functions in a temporary campus attathed to GLPS Valannoor, East Kinalur located nearly 7 km away from Balussery. A plot of 5 acres of land for setting up the college was transferred by the KSIDC at Kinalur Estate and a beautifully designed new building is under construction.It is expected that the college will be shifted to its own campus when the construction of its is completed.
