The Department of Computer Science of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Memorial Govt. Arts and Science College, Balussery was established in the year 2013 as one of the complementary subjects of B.Sc. Mathematics. The prime intention of the department is to impart quality education to students in the field of Computer Science. The department strives to inspire every student to attain their peak performance. Department presently has only one permanent faculty.

To become a prominent Department of Computer Science and produce competent professionals with research, analytical and innovative skills, inculcating moral values and societal concerns.

MISSION

1. Provide learning ambiance to generate innovative and problem-solving skills with professionalism.
2. Create facilities and expertise in advanced computer technology thereby promoting research culture, innovative thinking.
3. Induce ethical values and spirit of social commitment

 CS Department offers courses that emphasize the fundamental concepts of computer science, treating today’s languages and systems as current examples of the underlying concepts. By educating students to think conceptually, we are preparing them to adapt to developments in this dynamic field. The study of Computer Science within a liberal arts environment hones students’ skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and clear and concise communication. Developing these skills creates students well prepared for higher studies or employment in industry.
