MOOCs integrate social networking and accessible online resources so as to ensure quality educational experiences at scale. UGC promotes the development of MOOC courses and as such it occupies a prominent domain in the API scoring of the teachers. Having been recognised the importance and imperative of MOOC courses, an Interactive Session on ‘Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC)’ was organised for the teachers on Tuesday, 28th of January, 2020. The session was handled by Mr. Damodar Prasad, Director, Educational Multimedia Research Centre, University of Calicut. Below listed teachers from the college were participated in the programme.

Database for SSR: In order to become a ‘brand icon’ in the realm of higher education in the country, the institution requires mandatory assessment and accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the UGC. The process follows a holistic, systematic and objective approach for institutional improvement in terms of its ‘quality’. As it provides an opportunity for the institution to (i) measure its effectiveness and efficiency, (ii) identify its strengths and weaknesses and (iii) take necessary steps for improvement, it becomes imperative for the college to prepare and become eligible for accreditation. As a first step towards this goal, it requires the preparation of the Self Study Report (SSR). Concluding Observations: The depth and breadth of activities that come under the operational framework of the IQAC should go on extensively so as to accomplish the institution its cherished goal of sustainable excellence in academic, institutional and societal pursuits. Individuals do not matter; it is the institution that matters in its efficacy. I do believe that I have performed my best in discharging my duties as assigned to me. As I am transferred to Government College, Kodanchery and will be relieved on 3rd of September, 2020, I am submitting this report and do handover the duty of Coordinator, IQAC to the Principal.
